§ 5-2. Membership in Municipal Board of Examiners Inc. of Polk County and establishment of local enforcement body.

In addition to any other provisions in the codes dealing with the recognition of certificates
of competency for the different construction trades, the city has entered into the
membership of the Board of Examiners, for the express purpose of allowing the Board
of Examiners to handle competency examinations for the certification of the construction
trades and for the issuance of certificates of competency for those who engage in
contracting and subcontracting within the city and does hereby authorize, in a manner
permitted by law, and as further authorized by the city commission, the establishment
of a local enforcement body for the express purpose of allowing the exercise of disciplinary
control and oversight over locally licensed contractors, including forwarding a recommended
order in each action to the construction industry licensing board to the extent required
by law.
