Article IX. RULES OF PROCEDURE FOR THE CITY COMMISSION AND ALL BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND COMMISSIONS ESTABLISHED BY CITY ORDINANCE OR CITY CHARTER

§ 2-225. Authority.

Section 9 of the Charter of the City of Winter Haven provides that the city commission may by ordinance or resolution prescribe the manner in which any power of the city shall be exercised. The rules set forth within this article shall be in effect upon their adoption by the city commission and shall remain in effect until such time as they are amended or new rules adopted. These rules are for the purpose of guidance to assist in the orderly conduct of meetings at which they are applicable. No action of the city commission or of any board, committee or commission of the city shall be deemed invalid for failure to follow these rules.
