§ 18-9. Same—Noncompliance; penalty.

Any person failing or refusing to comply with the directions indicated on any sign or marker or with the instructions of any official traffic-control device applicable thereto placed in accordance with section 18-2, unless otherwise directed by a police officer or other authorized person, subject to the exceptions granted the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle, shall be guilty of a violation and punished as provided in section 1-13.
