§ 15-303. Official tree species and standards adopted.

The city hereby adopts and incorporates by reference in this article the list of official street tree species and standards maintained as found within the City of Winter Haven Landscape Ordinance and Regulations. This article is applicable to any public or private improvement or project containing tree plantings and that is required to go through the city's site plan review process or be issued a city building permit. All new tree plantings which are part of a public or private improvement or project are subject to review and approval through the city's site plan review process and shall have a minimum standard of Florida Number 1. In the event that the replacement of existing trees located on or within any public streets or public places is necessary, they shall be exempted from this article if the trees are on the official tree species list.
