§ 15-161. Written request, information; time, vault required.

  • (1)

    All interments, disinterments, and removals must be made at the time, in the manner and upon such charges as fixed by the City. A request in writing is required of the lot owner whenever a grave is to be opened. The written request shall contain the name, sex, residence, date of decease and place of death (if possible). The City Manager or his designee will give the order for the opening of the grave.

    (2)

    All earth interments must utilize a burial vault made of concrete, fiberglass, steel, or other vaults of equal strength. Wooden vaults of four feet or less are permitted, only in the baby section. Burial vault installation shall be in accordance with the written policies of the City.
