§ 12-101. Purpose and intent.

It is the purpose and intent of the city to establish a process to address vacant and abandoned real properties located within the city. It is the further intent to specifically establish vacant and abandoned real property program as a mechanism to protect neighborhoods within the city limits from becoming blighted through the lack of adequate maintenance and security of such vacant and abandoned real properties.
